Airing Sunday, July 30, 2023 at nine p.m. EST on AMC, the season two premiere of “Dark Winds” is certain to maintain viewers on the part of their seats.
The crime thriller is primarily based on Tony Hillerman’s e book collection “Leaphorn & Chee.” Set in a city in the Navajo Nation in the 1970s, the exhibit tells the memories of the mysterious crimes being dedicated in the area.
Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, the two police officers at the middle of investigating these crimes, are performed with the aid of Zahn McLarnon and Kiowa Gordan. According to the show’s description on AMC+, the exhibit is a “thrilling new Southwestern Noir.”

Reviewers love the series, which counts among its producers Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin.
Roger Ebert’s review is titled, “Dark Winds Proves Itself a TV Noir Mainstay in Its Second Season” while AV Club says “The Western noir makes a creepy, edge-of-your-seat return,” raving, about the “sensational actors, writers, and crew members” that in the second season “clicks into place better.”
AV Club also calls season two “more sinister and heavy” than season one, but also more hopeful.
