Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir feels that the Prime Minister is probably upset about the US ban. In a press conference today, the Secretary General of BNP said that after so many days, the Prime Minister clarified about the US ban. He (Prime Minister) seems probably irritated.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam said these things to a journalist's question after a party meeting at BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan on Monday night. Earlier in the afternoon, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held a press conference about her visit to the United States, United Kingdom and Japan. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in response to journalists' questions at the press conference that Bangladesh will not buy anything from those who will ban.

Journalists questioned the General Secretary of BNP regarding this remark of the Prime Minister. In response, Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, "This is my question too, that why he suddenly made an announcement about the sanction after so many days." He knows best.

At the same time, Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, "A few days ago, due to this sanction, the Russian ship was returned to Bangladesh, not taken." We pretty much know what Bangladesh buys from the US, be it the amount or the volume—we know it too. So we can easily understand why he (Prime Minister) said this. He seems probably irritated. We do not know why you are irritated.

Another journalist asked, Bangladesh government has decided not to give police protocol to US and UK ambassadors posted in Dhaka. What could be the reason for this? In response, Mirza Fakhrul Islam said that he (Prime Minister) can tell the reason why he is so angry. He can give the answer well. But it is very clear, he is very irritated, angry. And it seems to me that Secured is also not filling.

Journalists also asked whether these issues will be a problem in the relationship between the two countries. Mirza Fakhrul said, "I don't want to comment on this at the moment." Because I do not know the details of the issues. I hope that such relations do not deteriorate for the sake of the people of Bangladesh.

The Secretary General of BNP also talked about the Prime Minister's visit to Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom. He said that he does not think that there has been any special achievement in this visit recently. Explaining this concept, Mirza Fakhrul Islam said that there have been some compromise agreements with Japan. Went to the United States to speak at a seminar on 50 years of Bangladesh's relationship with the World Bank, and went to the United Kingdom for the inauguration of the new king.

Mirza Fakhrul also said, 'He (Prime Minister) wants to give the impression to the nation that there is no alternative leadership. That's how he made the trip this time. He wants to convey the impression that the visit was a complete success. But as far as we know through national and international media, the result of this visit is almost zero.

In response to a question about the reserve crisis in the country, the secretary general of BNP said that those who import daily necessities are also unable to import due to the dollar crisis. The main reason for this is that the reserves have been reduced to such an extent that they are no longer repayable. After a few days this crisis will increase. When will the Padma Bridge payments start? He said that for the new third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, 15 thousand crore rupees will have to be paid from next year. Where will that money come from? Those who have an idea about the condition of Bangladesh, they know very well that currently Bangladesh is in an extreme economic crisis. And reserves are so depleted that it is only a matter of time before a dire situation occurs.

Earlier in the afternoon, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of BNP Secretary General to formulate the program of the 42nd martyrdom anniversary of Ziaur Rahman. Standing committee members Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, Vice Chairman AZM Zahid Hossain, Chairman's Council members Amanullah Aman, Abdus Salam, Abdul Hai Shikdar, Education Affairs Secretary ABM Obaidul Islam, Publicity Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury, Professor AFM Yusuf Haider was present. In the meeting, six sub-committees were formed to observe the martyrdom anniversary.
